Maarten Deleye holds a master's degree in social and cultural pedagogy (Leuven University) and a bachelor's degree in social work (Howest Brugge). Maarten is affiliated with the Centre for Sustainable Development since 2016. In 2018, he started as a doctoral student at the Department of Education at Uppsala University in Sweden. In his PhD, he focuses on the way the role of higher education in relation to sustainable development is conceptualised in theory and practice.

Maarten Deleye is master in de sociale en culturele pedagogiek en bachelor in het sociaal werk. Hij is sinds 2016 verbonden aan het Centrum voor Duurzame Ontwikkeling als onderzoeksmedewerker. In 2018 startte Maarten aan een doctoraatsopleiding aan Uppsala University in Zweden waar hij in zijn onderzoek focust op de rol van het hoger onderwijs in relatie tot duurzame ontwikkeling, meer bepaald hoe deze rol in de literatuur en in concrete educatieve duurzaamheidspraktijken wordt geconceptualiseerd.
