Nadine Deutzkens has a background in International Cultural and Business Studies with a focus on intercultural communication, linguistics, history, geography, sociology and sustainable development (University of Passau, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg & Ghent University).

At the Centre for Sustainable Development (CDO), she coordinates the International Thematic Network SEDwise (‘Sustainability Education – Teaching and learning in the face of wicked socio-ecological problems’). Before joining Ghent University, she supported an international network for social entrepreneurs inventing technologies for sustainable development. She has also been engaged in education projects of NGOs in El Salvador and Indonesia.

Nadine Deutzkens heeft een achtergrond in internationale cultuur- en bedrijfswetenschappen met een focus op interculturele communicatie, taalkunde, geschiedenis, geografie, sociologie en duurzame ontwikkeling (Universiteit Passau, Universiteit Erlangen-Neurenberg & Universiteit Gent).

Bij het Centrum voor Duurzame Ontwikkeling (CDO) coördineert ze het Internationaal Thematisch Netwerk SEDwise (‘Sustainability Education – Teaching and learning in the face of wicked socio-ecological problems’). Voordat ze aan de Universiteit Gent startte, ondersteunde ze een internationaal netwerk voor sociale ondernemers die duurzame technologieën ontwikkelen. Ze was ook betrokken bij onderwijsprojecten van ngo's in El Salvador en Indonesië.
