Stadsacademiefeest op 24 oktober 2023 in de Sint-Pietersabdij

Er is de voorbije twee jaar opnieuw heel wat werk verzet in de Stadsacademie. Hoog tijd om dit te delen met het brede publiek op dinsdag 24.10.2023 van 13.00-21:00. Het Stadsacademiefeest dient in de eerste plaats om de samenwerking over allerlei duurzaamheidsthema’s tussen UGent en de stad te vieren. Het is een moment om onze hele community en geïnteresseerden bij elkaar te brengen, te reflecteren op onze werking en onze lopende trajecten, en het nieuwe academiejaar feestelijk in te leiden.
In de namiddag starten we met workshops die bijna allemaal georganiseerd worden in het kader van onze lopende en nieuwe trajecten. Er is ook een introductieworkshop voor iedereen die wil kennismaken met de werking van de Stadsacademie. In het plenaire gedeelte starten we met een inspirerende lezing van dr. Derek Ruez “Imaginaries of the ‘urban good’ in a plural and uneven world”. We staan stil bij onze plannen voor het komende academiejaar, en sluiten af met een receptie.
Studenten, onderzoekers, beleidsmakers, middenveldorganisaties, burgers: Iedereen van harte welkom. Het evenement is gratis, je kan kiezen welke onderdelen van het programma je wil bijwonen, maar inschrijven is noodzakelijk. Het Stadsacademiefeest gaat door in de Sint-Pietersabdij, Sint-Pietersplein 9, Gent.

A lot of work has been done in the Stadsacademie over the past two years. High time to share this with the general public on Tuesday 24.10.2023 from 13:00-21:00. The Stadsacademie Festival serves in the first place to celebrate the collaboration on all kinds of sustainability topics between UGent and the city. It is a moment to bring together our entire community and interested parties, to reflect on our operations and our ongoing trajectories, and to festively inaugurate the new academic year.
In the afternoon we will start with workshops (mostly in Dutch), almost all organized in the context of our ongoing and new trajectories. There is also an introductory workshop for anyone who wants to get acquainted with the workings of the Stadsacademie. In the plenary part, we will start with an inspiring lecture (in Enlish) by Dr. Derek Ruez i"Imaginaries of the 'urban good' in a plural and uneven world." We reflect on our plans for the coming academic year, and conclude with a reception.
Students, researchers, policy makers, civil society organizations, citizens: Everyone welcome. The event is free, you can choose which parts of the program you want to attend, but registration is required. The Stadsacademie Festival will take place at St. Peter's Abbey, Sint-Pietersplein 9, Ghent.
