Start network ‘Public Pedagogy and Sustainability Challenges’

From 2017-2021 the Research Foundation Flanders will fund a scientific research network (FWO-WOG) on ‘Public Pedagogy and Sustainability Challenges’. This interdisciplinary group of political theorists, educational theorists and sustainability education researchers engages in a common quest for the public role of education in the face of sustainability challenges. Some SEDwise partners are also involved in this new network. Both networks are complementary and aim to realise overlapping but different objectives. Besides a different composition and scope of disciplines, the SEDwise network – which strives to foster fruitful links between research, education and services to society – is more practice-oriented in comparison with the basic research focus of this FWO-WOG.
